--Counseling and Guidance

To help students through the difficult pre-teen and teen years several services are offered.

  1. For academic difficulties, students may talk with their subject area teacher or school guidance counselor for general advisement.Interventions available:
  • After-School Intervention Classes
  • Parent Conferences
  • Student Study/Success Team Meeting
  1. For personal problems, students or parents should see an Administrator or the Guidance Counselor for referrals to:
  • School Psychologist
  • Community Agency Counselors
  • Peer (SGHS) Counselors
  • Probation Officers
  1. For behavior problems, students will be advised informally by a staff member.Students who experience ongoing disciplinary problems will be referred to the office.
